Simple Spray

Once again, I am going to extoll the virtues of vinegar.

I've got a small spray bottle of straight white vinegar that I use for cleaning. I like to use it undiluted, really cuts the grease.

Today I cleaned my tile kitchen floor and it looked great.

I spray a section, wipe it down with a cloth (everything comes off easy), then move to the next section. I rinse out the cloth every other section and wring it almost dry. The smell is actually appealing to me, and it only lingers for a moment anyway.

When I'm done, the floor is sparkling clean with no fake, cloying "spring breeze," flower or pine scent, just fresh and white.

Thank you, vinegar.

Feeling sheepish

Now that I've had a few days to think (and been employing my new friend vinegar left and right), I am wondering why I never got around to doing this before. Just the small amount of time needed to try out something new. It really is no trouble at all. And you wouldn't believe the number of super-chemical cleaners I have -- and how little I use them. It doesn't make sense in so many ways, and especially on a financial level.

Anyway, starting this blog is going to be the impetus for many, many lifelong changes. And I hope not just for me, but for anyone reading this blog who -- like me -- just hadn't gotten around to being green yet.
